Have you experienced something that made you feel uncomfortable or unsafe

because of discrimination or racism?

We are here to support you.

The Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family (established by Ministerial Decree 77/2023) was created to unify and coordinate all critical policies concerning social and family life in our country. The core of the Ministry's mission includes:

  • Strengthening social cohesion and actively combating poverty and social exclusion.
  • Designing policies to support the family, housing, child protection, and the elderly.
  • Developing policies to ensure full accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities.
  • Promoting equality in all areas, preventing violence against women, and combating all forms of discrimination.

Our work is implemented through the three (3) General Secretariats:

1
General Secretariat for Social Solidarity and the Fight Against Poverty

Focuses on social protection, supervision of solidarity organizations, and management of related benefits.

2
General Secretariat for Demography and Housing Policy

Addresses demographic challenges, housing, child protection, and youth policy.

3
General Secretariat for Equality and Human Rights (GSEHR)

The government body responsible for promoting gender equality, protecting rights, and combating racism and intolerance.

The Ministry’s goal is to create a fairer and more inclusive society for all citizens.
